iPad 3 Announcement Imminent !
Posted February 22 2012The iPad 3 is due to be announced on the 7th of March. It's big news for all iPad fans and tech savvy consumers.
What is the next tablet coming from Apple? Fans were originally a little disappointed that the iPad 2 didn't get a high-resolution 'retina display' screen. But we're confident the new iPad 3 (or will it be iPad 2S?) will feature a super high resolution screen to make gaming, movies, presentations and general workflow an absolute delight. We're not so confident in the wish-list rumours of a holographic or 3D-display some websites and blogs are suggesting.

Much of the talk around town suggests there's little change in the dimensions of the forthcoming tablet super computer which is impressive considering the display improvements and the possibility of a thunderbolt port inclusion. With the later, connectivity with the new iPad will change drastically. A thunderbolt port will give birth to an entirely new generation of iPad 3 Accessories. Generally speaking thunderbolt is Apple's new technology which supersedes both USB and Firewire with a solution that offers PCI Express high speed data transfer rate as well as DisplayPort connectivity.
The rumour mill is also rife with the speculation that there will be an additional iPad in this years line-up. Perhaps a 7" iPad Mini? Apparently this is due to certain allowances inside recent iOS5 code which suggest more than one iPad 3 version or model.
The new iPhone saw the inclusion of the very impressive A5 processor & of course many iPad fans are hopeful for a new quad-core A6 chip. Pictures have been circulated of a new A5X processor, but with out the details from Apple we're all still in the dark. However, if the suggestion of a high resolution retina display is true; then in reality the iPad 3 will need more grunt to power through the onslaught of apps taking advantage of the improved display.

Another scathing criticism the iPad 2 received was for it's disgustingly low resolution video camera. Considering the popularity of skype and other apps; all iPad fans have their fingers, toes and eyes crossed for an improved and significantly better camera scenario.
Will the iPad 3 kill the competition? The Jury might still be out as there are android alternatives - But we're confident the iPad 3 will capture more market share and remain the 1st choice for tech savvy tablet customers.
