When Apple released their new iPad, the makers of iPad games were able to start really having some fun!  The powerful new features of the iPad 2 allow game makers to up the level of their iPad applications.  Before the iPad 2, there were already over 65,000 iPad applications just for games and this number has now shot up drastically.

The iPad 2 has a 1GHx dual core A5 processor which means it will be able to handle more intense games.  When you are driving a car at 500 mph during your favorite racing iPad games, you will be able to see fluid movement.  When hunting for aliens in a space realm, you will be able to experience depth and stunning imagery which will really help you get into the game.  Some of the other great new features for iPad games include the iPad 2’s built-in gyroscope and playback on HD TV.  Also, many makers of iPad games are taking advantage of the iPad 2’s dual cameras.

With the dual cameras, game makers are thinking up iPad applications in which you can even load your own photos into the game and have it become part of the level.  With the gyroscope feature, game makers are making cool iPad applications where you can literally explore spaces and get a very lifelike perspective while completing missions.  This would not be possible without the feature nor would it look great on the iPhone’s small screen.
