It is hard to determine for sure what the next iPad will be or when it will come.  There have been rumors circulating about the tablet, many of which are unfounded and others coming from reputable leaked sources.  Overall though, Apple has done a really good job of keeping everything hush-hush about their next iPad tablet. 

The latest rumor has the next iPad coming out in October 2011.  However, the next iPad will NOT be the iPad 3!  According to these rumors, the next iPad is going to be the iPad 2 Plus.  The idea of the iPad 2 Plus isn’t really so exciting – especially if it is going to be anything like what Apple did when we were all waiting for the iPhone 4 and they gave us the iPhone 3GS instead.

The real reason that iPad would bother releasing an iPad 2 Plus isn’t because it is so majorly better than the previous tablet version. Rather, they will want to have a new product on the market in time for the holiday season.  There are many other tablets slated to hit the market then so, without the iPad 3, Apple runs the risk of its iPad 2 tablet getting lost amongst the hype of new products.  However, the thrill of the iPad 2 isn’t nearly gone yet.

Instead of focusing on making a next iPad which isn’t so different than the iPad 2, Apple would probably do better focusing on more iPad accessories.  iPad fans have gone crazy for a lot of the accessories like the solar iPad charger, and all of the innovative iPad 2 cases. Of course, all of the information about the next iPad and iPad 3 are just rumors right now so we will have to wait and see what happens.
