Even though the iPad 2 has barely been released, there is already talk about the iPad 3.  However, if the rumors are right, this isn’t going to be the next iPad.  Before the iPad 3 reaches the market, we can expect the iPad HD.

Apparently, the next iPad is supposed to imitate the bond between MacBook and MacBook Pro.  The iPad HD, like the MacBook Pro, will be for those who need superior imaging and video functions.  While I can’t imagine the next iPad getting to the point where you can make Hollywood level videos on it, you will be able to make some incredibly stellar presentations which will have your colleagues stunned at the next meeting.

There are some speculations about how this HD next iPad are going to influence the iPad 3 release. From Apple’s perspective, it wouldn’t make sense to release the iPad HD and iPad 3 at the same time.  However, the rumors circulating put the next iPad release date at late 2012.

The good news for anyone who doesn’t have an iPad 2 yet is that the release of the next iPad HD will likely cause the 2 version to drop in price.  This is common for whenever a new technology comes out.  Of course, you will then be behind the times by purchasing a iPad 2 rather than the stellar iPad HD.  The way that the marketing is going though, the next iPad is only going to be geared to a certain market.  By the time the iPad 3 comes out, you will be able to expect the real drops in iPad 2 prices and get better deals on the tablet.
